BiH offers assistance with rescue teams to Croatia after strong earthquake

SARAJEVO, December 29 (FENA) - The Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina has offered assistance to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Croatia - Directorate of Civil Protection, after the devastating earthquake that hit Petrinja and several other cities Croatian cities today.

"Considering that a large number of facilities have been damaged and that survivors are still being searched for, the Ministry of Security of BiH, after consultations and coordination with the institutions in BiH and Croatia, has prepared two protection and rescue teams that are on standby," said the Ministry of Security of BiH.

These are the team of the FBiH Administration of Civil Protection with 42 rescuers and the team of the RS Administration of Civil Protection with 18 rescuers that will be immediately sent to the affected area with their accompanying equipment if the assistance is accepted by Croatia.
