BIHAĆ, January 4 (FENA) - A 34-year-old citizen of Bihać was seriously injured last night, most likely with a sharp object, and the police investigation into the crime is ongoing.
"Police officers of the Police Station in Bihać last night, after an anonymous phone call at around 10 pm, found a thirty-four-year-old citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Cazinska Street with a stab wound in the abdomen. The injured person was immediately transferred to the Cantonal Hospital "Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić" and we still have not had the opportunity to talk to him," said the spokesperson of the Una-Sana Canton Police, Ale Šiljdedić.
The report says that the perpetrators of the crime were most likely foreign nationals, i.e. illegal migrants.
"The police is currently interrogating three Moroccan citizens, two men and one woman. We are trying to determine their participation or eventual responsibility for this incident," added Šiljdedić.
The police also confirmed that the on-duty prosecutor of the competent Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the USC, who has not yet laid out the charges, has been duly informed.
