BiH CoM approves funds to assist the municipality of Kostajnica and Croatia

SARAJEVO, January 12 (FENA) - The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at an extraordinary telephone session, passed a Decision approving 100,000 KM from the current budget reserve of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina to help Kostajnica mitigate the damages caused by the recent earthquake.

The funds are intended for mitigating the consequences of the earthquake which caused huge material damages at the end of December last year in Kostajnica, a municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the border with the Republic of Croatia.

Also, the Council of Ministers of BiH passed a decision to approve 500,000 KM from the current budget reserve to provide international assistance to the Government of the Republic of Croatia in tackling the consequences of the earthquake, which occurred in late December 2020.

The CoM reminded that the Republic of Croatia was hit by a devastating earthquake on December 29, 2020, with catastrophic consequences, human victims and injured people, as well as destroyed and severely damaged property in Sisak-Moslavina County.
