SARAJEVO, January 21 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, said today that the budget of the FBiH Government for 2021 provided funds for the purchase of coronavirus vaccines and that money is not a problem, but access to vaccines.
He pointed this out after a meeting with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zoran Tegeltija, and Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, at which they discussed the procurement of coronavirus vaccines.
“The whole world is looking how to procure vaccines and the Federation of BiH is ready to immediately pay for any vaccine that may come a day earlier,” Novalić pointed out.
He stressed the importance of procuring vaccines through the state and said it was important to him that everyone is together in those arrangements.
“We are ready to buy Pfizer, Russian, Chinese and any other vaccine we can get,” Novalić concluded and said that vaccination is not a problem for him.
Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, pointed out that the solutions for the procurement of the Russian vaccine are very close.
“We discussed today and stated that the Federation of BiH is also ready for the procurement of certain quantities of Russian vaccines, and tomorrow the FBiH Ministry of Health will express its needs, whereas the Republika Srpska has already applied for the procurement of 200,000 doses,” said Višković.
Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH Ankica Gudeljević, the FBiH Minister of Health Vjekoslav Mandić and Minister of Health of the Republika Srpska Alen Šeranić also attended the meeting.
