SARAJEVO, January 22 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović said today after a session of the party presidency that members of the presidency discussed numerous topics, including the reluctance of the Council of Ministers, the election of the US President Joe Biden, as well as coronavirus pandemic and migrant crisis.

At the session, however, special attention was paid to the situation within the party and Izetbegović stressed that several party municipal organizations were dissolved and commissions were appointed to analyze the situation and propose measures, among them the municipal organization Bihać, Cazin, Zavidovići, Gradačac, Novi Travnik, Ilidža, Novo Sarajevo and Centar Sarajevo.

Also, Izetbegović explained, several cantonal committees are in charge of analyzing the situation and proposing measures in municipal organizations in the Zenica-Doboj Canton and Bosnia-Podrinje Canton, and Sedin Kahriman was appointed as the Acting President of the SDA Cantonal Committee in the Sarajevo Canton after the resignation of Fikret Prevljak.

Izetbegović also commented on the work of the Minister of Security Selmo Cikotić (SDA), saying that he is a man with great experience who has invested all his capacities to effectively manage the migrant crisis, but believes that without the deployment of members of the BiH Armed Forces it will not be possible.

When asked by journalists about the status of the Office of the High Representative (OHR) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Izetbegović pointed out that he does not believe that anyone would risk closing the OHR until all the conditions are met, because who knows how BiH politicians would behave after the departure of the High Representative in BiH.

He called on the Serbian people to catharsis and to face the past, repeating that there are no bad peoples.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today confirmed the indictment for war crimes against retired General of the Army of RBiH Sakib Mahmuljin, and Izetbegović emphasized that someone committed horrible crimes in those locations for which he is accused, but claims that Mahmuljin did not commit or order them.
