Kožul: Sign readmission agreements with the countries from which migrants come

SARAJEVO, January 28 (FENA) - The Collegium of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina will meet on Wednesday, February 3, before the session of the House, to discuss the agenda which includes determining the competent commissions to consider several parliamentary initiatives.

Among the initiatives is the one of HDZ MP Predrag Kožul, which the House of Representatives should task the BiH Council of Ministers and the Ministries of Security and Foreign Affairs to urgently initiate procedures for signing readmission agreements with Afghanistan, Iraq, Bangladesh, Iran, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.

With this initiative, if it passes the commission phase and is adopted in the House of Representatives, the Council of Ministers would be in charge of informing the House of Representatives about the undertaken activities and their effects no later than 90 days from the day of adopting the initiative.

Also, a commission should be appointed to consider the initiative asking the Council of Ministers to provide the House with detailed information on the decision of the FBiH Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Control of the Russian Federation to temporarily ban the import of pears from BiH.

This information should also include measures taken after December 21, 2020, when Russian partners warned BiH institutions of the possibility of introducing restrictive measures, as well as data on exported quantities of pears and apples in 2019 and 2020.

A commission will be appointed to consider a parliamentary initiative asking the BiH Council of Ministers for detailed information on fulfilling BiH's obligations under the agreement with the European Union on exports of chicken meat, chicken meat products and eggs for industrial processing, as well as measures taken to prevent BiH from remaining without export licenses to the EU.

According to the procedures, the deputies are asking the initiatives which request information on the Decision of the Energy Community to impose sanctions on BiH, activities undertaken by the BiH Council of Ministers to prevent sanctions and an action plan to meet BiH's obligations to be considered.

The members of the Collegium are also in charge of determining the competent commission for reviewing the Report on the work of the Independent Board as an independent body of the police structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2020.

After the Collegium, which consists of the Speaker of the House Borjana Krišto (HDZ) and the Vice Speakers Denis Zvizdić (SDA) and Nebojša Radmanović (SNSD), the Extended Collegium will meet, followed by a session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
