SARAJEVO, February 1 (FENA) - Parliamentary Military Commissioner of Bosnia and Herzegovina Boško Šiljegović received today the Commander of the European Union Force (EUFOR) in BiH, Major General Alexander Platzer in an inaugural visit.
Šiljegović informed the EUFOR Commander about the activities of the Office of the BiH Parliamentary Military Commissioner. He especially mentioned the areas in which professional military personnel most often complain about violations of their rights, as well as field visits to units of the Armed Forces of BiH as a key activity of the institution of the BiH Parliamentary Military Commissioner.
He also informed Commander on the measures and activities taken within the Armed Forces of BiH during the coronavirus pandemic, as well as the health condition of military personnel, and their ability to perform the most complex tasks in a pandemic.
General Platzer briefed the BiH Parliamentary Military Commissioner on EUFOR tasks in 2021, placing special emphasis on partnership with the BiH Armed Forces in destroying surplus weapons and ammunition, humanitarian demining operations, training professional military personnel in the BiH Armed Forces and conducting joint exercises.
