SARAJEVO, February 10 (FENA) - Minister of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina Josip Grubeša (HDZ) reiterated today that the members of the Supervisory Body for Monitoring the Implementation of the Revised War Crimes Prosecution Strategy have not been appointed because there was no ethnic reciprocity among substitute members.

This was the answer to the delegate question of Bariša Čolak (HDZ) from the Croat caucus in the House of Peoples of the BiH PA at today's session of the House, who reminded that the document was adopted in September last year, and it was specified that the body has to be established within 30 days od the adoption of the Strategy.

Minister Grubeša clarified that two members should be appointed to the Supervisory Body, i.e. a member and an alternate member, representatives from the BiH Ministry of Justice, the BiH Ministry of Security, the FBiH Ministry of Justice, the RS Ministry of Justice, the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) and the Judiciary Commission of the Brčko District.

He also added that Annex B stipulates that one non-voting member from the Court and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH should be appointed to the Supervisory Body, and that representatives of the OSCE, the Prosecutor's Office of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Courts and the European Union Office participate as observers.

"The Ministry of Security has done all of that and we are now waiting for the response from the HJPC," said Grubeša.
