SARAJEVO, February 17 (FENA) - Chairman of the Joint Committee for European Integration of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) Nikola Lovrinović, Deputy Chairman of the Joint Committee Halid Genjac and member of the Joint Committee Snježana Novaković - Bursač participated in the Interparliamentary Online Conference on the affairs of the European Union (EU).
At the conference, which was held within the Twinning project "Support to EU Parliaments in Bosnia and Herzegovina in European Integration", representatives of European Integration committees in BiH parliaments and representatives of European Affairs Committees in EU member states implementing the Twinning project of Austria, Hungary and Croatia discussed the role of parliaments in BiH in the European integration process.
Information was exchanged on the current situation in the process of European integration of BiH, with reference to the Report on BiH for 2020 and the 14 priorities from the Opinion of the European Commission on BiH's application for EU membership.
The participants of the Conference especially discussed the recently adopted Priority Plan in Mostar for the parliaments of BiH, a strategic document aimed at solving the most urgent tasks so that the parliaments in BiH, as key actors, would be able to provide strategic guidance in the process of European integration and contribute to the realization of 14 priorities from the Opinion of the European Commission on BiH's application for EU membership, stated the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
