SDA: The ‘neutrality’ of international community encourages retrograde policies

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, February 26 (FENA) - The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) finds the message sent by Ambassadors Quinte, the EU Delegation and the OSCE to the survivors of the Srebrenica genocide disappointing, as they refuse to discuss obvious manipulations in the election process.

The refusal of the representatives of the international community to discuss the situation after the boycott of the elections in Srebrenica at the invitation of eight pro-Bosnian parties (SDA, DF, SDP, SBB, NS, NIP, PDA and SBiH) can only benefit the genocide deniers who won the election through manipulations, stressed the SDA.

The SDA points out that "the 'neutrality' of the international community, which Bosniaks experienced during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, encourages retrograde policies and our friends in Europe and the world should finally become aware of that.

"Srebrenica, as a city and an area where genocide had been committed, deserves special attention of all and there must be no 'neutrals'. After being killed and expelled, displaced around the world, Bosniaks are now prevented by administrative obstacles and electoral manipulations from voting in their city," the statement said.

The SDA notes that "until the issue of voting by mail and in absentia is thoroughly resolved, and every man from Srebrenica is allowed to vote, the elections in this city cannot be considered legitimate."

The SDA will continue to support the initiative "My Address: Srebrenica" in the fight for equal rights of all citizens of Srebrenica, the SDA concluded.
