SARAJEVO, March 1 (FENA) - In the last 24 hours, only 1,143 samples were tested for coronavirus in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and 223 were positive. Of that, 20 people infected with coronavirus died.
The day before, a total of 711 newly infected out of 2,698 tested persons were registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina while 17 people died.
In the past 24 hours, 769 samples were reported to the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH, of which 189 were positive for coronavirus.
New cases have been registered in Una-Sana, Central Bosnia, Herzegovina-Neretva, West Herzegovina, Zenica-Doboj.
In the past 24 hours, 15 new deaths were reported to the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH. As of today, the number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 2,690.
A total of 452,051 samples have been tested so far, and coronavirus has been confirmed in 85,729 individuals.
As of today, 77,233 patients have recovered in the Federation of BiH. In the past 24 hours, 11 patients have recovered. Currently, 5,806 coronavirus-positive cases are active.
In the area of Republika Srpska, 371 laboratory samples were tested in the last 24 hours, and the coronavirus was confirmed in 33 people. Five people died of COVID.
Five deaths have been reported to the Republika Srpska Institute of Public Health, in which the presence of the coronavirus has been confirmed. These are elderly people from Banja Luka (two people), Višegrad, Mrkonjić Grad and Prnjavor.
So far, 43,252 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Republika Srpska, and a total of 2,249 people who have been tested for coronavirus have died.
In Republika Srpska, 36,172 people have recovered from the new coronavirus so far, and a total of 201,270 people have been tested.
Today, a new case of coronavirus infection was registered in the Brčko District of BiH out of three tested. Five people recovered. There are currently 143 active infections in that area of BiH.
