SARAJEVO, March 18 (FENA) - The situation with the coronavirus pandemic is more than serious, especially in the Sarajevo Canton, so it is high time for SC Prime Minister Forto to stop talking and take concrete steps, using all the resources at his disposal, instead of accusing all others not to work and dealing with populism and PR, announced the Office of the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić regarding the letter of the Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Edin Forto in which he asked to raise the issue of criminal responsibility of entity and state authorities.
Today, Prime Minister Novalić explained in detail to the members of the FBiH Parliament what the Government of the Federation of BiH is specifically doing in this situation, from economic measures to the procurement of vaccines. Every concrete proposal of SC Prime Minister Forto will be supported by FBiH Prime Minister Novalić, aware of the difficult situation in which the citizens of Sarajevo found themselves, and the FBiH Government continues to work on all measures that will facilitate and help the citizens of the Federation of BiH to overcome the difficult situation, among which the procurement of vaccines is a priority to start the immunization as soon as possible and stop the further spread of the pandemic, it is stated in the reaction.
Sarajevo Canton Prime Minister Edin Forto warned officials at all levels of the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and the 'dramatic situation, which is rapidly deteriorating due to the proven spread of new strains of coronavirus, which are more contagious and result in more severe clinical pictures.’
“If there is no reaction from the entity and state levels of government, what we are witnessing today in Sarajevo, in about 20 days we can expect in the rest of Bosnia and Herzegovina where a significant part of those with a weaker capacity to cope with the dramatic epidemiological situation. That is why we call on all representatives of the government, entity and state level, to be actively involved in crisis management, which requires a unified approach and full respect for the constitutional and legal competencies of everyone in the chain,” said Edin Forto in a letter to officials at all levels.
