HJPC supports professional, independent work of Office of Disciplinary Counsel

SARAJEVO, March 23 (FENA) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) reminds the public that the Office of the Disciplinary Counsel (UDT) is independent in its work on disciplinary cases, and that it is therefore necessary to respect its independence and integrity of all the actors within the judiciary and BiH society as a whole.

"The Presidency of the HJPC BiH wants to express its support for the professional, independent and impartial work of the Office of the Disciplinary Counsel. We appreciate any constructive criticism and at the same time condemn any kind of pressure on the work of this office, it was stated from that regulatory body.

At the same time, the Presidency of the HJPC emphasizes that the Counsel is fully committed to implementing the reforms that are before it and towards raising the level of trust of the BiH public and international partners.

"Furthermore, we call on media representatives to adhere to ethical and professional standards in their reporting and to monitor the work of the Office of the Disciplinary Counsel and the entire judiciary in an objective, fact-based and impartial manner so that the public can have accurate information, it is stated in the presss release.
