Journalists included in the priority group for vaccination in ZDC

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, March 23 (FENA) - At the initiative of the Association of Journalists of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health of the Zenica-Doboj Canton has included journalists in priority groups for vaccination against Covid-19., immediately after medical workers and people in nursing homes, together with the police.

This is the first canton in the Federation of BiH to do so, and the first reaction of people from this entity in general.

Previously, the entity of Republika Srpska (on January 25) and the Brčko District (February 16) responded to a request from the BiH Journalists' Association and made an express decision to include journalists in the priority population for vaccination.

Based on a letter from the BiH Journalists' Association, the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs sent a letter to the entity ministries of health and the Brčko District Department of Health requesting that journalists be included on the list for priority vaccination against Covid 19.

To date, there has been no reaction from the FBiH government. But that is why the ZDC reacted and accepted the initiative.

"By including journalists in the priority categories for vaccination against Covid-19, you will protect their health and lives and thus enable them to continue their work of informing the public until the final victory over this epidemic," said the Association of Journalists of BiH.
