SARAJEVO, March 24 (FENA) - City councilors of the City of Sarajevo, after taking a solemn oath, were supposed to elect the chairman of that council, but the session was adjourned.
Namely, the candidates for the chairmanship of the City Council were Jasmin Ademović from the Bosniak people and Srdjan Srdić from the Serb people, but in the first vote they did not get a majority.
There was no quorum, so the incumbent Chairman of the City Council, Igor Gavrić, adjourned the session.
In the coming days, consultations will be held with representatives of political parties participating in the Council in order to determine a new date for the session at which the election of the chair and deputy chairs of the Sarajevo City Council will be on the agenda again.
