BANJA LUKA, March 26 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović visited Banja Luka today and talked with Banja Luka Mufti Nusret ef. Abdibegović.

Džaferović said that Annex 7 of the Dayton Peace Agreement is one of the most important annexes of the agreement but it unfortunately has not been implemented as it should have been so far.

“I came here to say that we will fight for the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement and that it will not be declared over as long as there is a single returnee in BiH or diaspora who wants to return to his home,” Džaferović told reporters.

According to him, the returnees are the people who are most deserving for the reintegration of BiH and its construction as a multiethnic, integral and democratic state.

“It is our obligation, first of all the state institutions of BiH, to do everything in order to make life in returnee communities better than it is,” said Džaferović.

He added that he was visiting the Bosniak returnee population in Banja Luka and Kotor Varoš today, "with the aim of once again analyzing the situation on the ground."

“We must do everything to make the return sustainable, so that people can work and live from their work and so that they are not disadvantaged. Today, we have discrimination against returnees in the RS entity and in some areas in the Federation of BiH where the HDZ is in power. We have discrimination against returnees, because they cannot exercise their right to their mother tongue, Bosnian, and they cannot participate in local and entity authorities as stipulated by the constitutions in BiH. I came to say that we will fight for these rights and fight,” said Džaferović.

Mufti of Banja Luka Nusret ef. Abdibegović said that the member of the Presidency of BiH Šefik Džaferović and the FBiH Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees Edin Ramić were informed about the development of the Islamic Community and the programs implemented by the Islamic Community.

“I hope that Banja Luka will also show its proximity to Sarajevo. I asked the member of the Presidency that the Federation of BiH focus a little more attention on Bosniaks living in the RS entity, so that it would be easier and more beautiful for all of us,” said efendi Abdibegović.
