Business meetings between BiH and Istanbul companies agreed

SARAJEVO, April 5 (FENA) - FIPA Director Milica Marković in talks with President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Şekib Avdagiç agreed to continue cooperation on more intensive and effective promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina and investment projects to members of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.

The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce is the largest chamber of commerce in Turkey and one of the three largest chambers in the world, bringing together 420,000 member companies. It was founded back in 1882, during the Ottoman Empire.

The Chamber represents all economic sectors that are represented in the area of Istanbul and operate under its auspices, from floriculture and construction through the automotive industry and insurance companies to the healthcare and graphic industries.

When it comes to cooperation with BiH, special focus will be placed on chicken production projects and logistics centers.

During the conversation with the Deputy Executive Director of WAIPA Ismail Ersahin, it was agreed to organize a joint event dedicated to the economic recovery of the Western Balkans region after the pandemic, and experiences and challenges in attracting foreign direct investment and optimal use of post investment support programs in attracting foreign direct investment, announced FIPA.
