SARAJEVO, April 5 (FENA) - A delegation from the city of Konya from Turkey, led by Mayor Ugur Ibrahim Altay, who is on a multi-day visit to Sarajevo, held a meeting today with the Mayor of Novi Grad Sarajevo Semir Efendić to discuss enhancing cooperation in the field of water supply, infrastructure and public transport.
Efendić reminded that Konya donated 20 trams that operate in Sarajevo today and said that they discussed the improvement of cooperation in terms of servicing those trams, but also the project of reconstruction of the tram line.
He also pointed out that they talked about solving the problem of water supply in Sarajevo and the possibilities of establishing rail transport.
Efendić added that the Ministry of Health of Turkey is ready to donate a contingent of 10,000 doses of the 'Favira' medicine and that the General Hospital "Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš" is ready to take the medicine, since the Municipality does not have that competence.
Konya Mayor Ugur Ibrahim Altay expressed hope that the successful cooperation will continue in the coming period and that Konya has been cooperating well with cities in BiH for many years.
