SARAJEVO, April 8 (FENA) - The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, without discussion, supported the Bill on Interim Measures in the work of judicial and other bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina during natural or other disaster in BiH, proposed by BiH Council of Ministers.
The proposed bill was adopted with six amendments accepted by the Constitutional and Legal Committee of that house.
Given that the adopted text of the law differs from the one previously adopted by the House of Representatives, it will be necessary to harmonize between the houses. Delegates Sredoje Nović, Bariša Čolak and Asim Sarajlić were nominated from the House of Peoples to the harmonization commission.
The delegates supported the principles of the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Civil Procedure before the Court of BiH, proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH, which enables better witness protection.
The amendments harmonize the Law on Civil Procedure in BiH and the Law on Protection of threatened and vulnerable witnesses and enable witnesses who testify under protection measures in criminal proceedings to continuously protect their identities during the subsequent initiation of civil proceedings for damages.
Today, in the second round of voting, the House of Peoples did not support the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Public Procurement and the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Medicines and Medical Devices, which were previously considered by urgent procedure, and which should create a legal framework that allows direct procurement of coronavirus vaccines from manufacturers.
The deputies urgently discussed the Draft Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH, which was proposed by Denis Bećirović and Zlatko Miletić, but did not support it.
