SARAJEVO, April 12 (FENA) - The future of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the path to the European Union and NATO, and continuous progress on the Euro-Atlantic path contributes to the stability and progress of BiH, said today the Deputy Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Chairman of the Commission for Cooperation with NATO of Bosnia and Herzegovina Josip Brkić.
Today, he participated in a virtual meeting with the ambassadors of NATO member countries in BiH at the invitation of the Commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Brigadier General Eric Folkestad. On that occasion, he informed the participants about the formation of the Commission for Cooperation with NATO, the holding of the inaugural session and the manner and dynamics of the work of that body.
Speaking about the importance of establishing the Commission for Cooperation with NATO and further directions and activities of that cooperation, Brkić said that the Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the document "Implementation of the Reform Program of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2019-2020", which contains implementation activities of the competent institutions in BiH regarding political and economic issues, defense and security issues, and resources and legal issues.
Representatives of the NATO Headquarters in BiH and the ambassadors of the Alliance member countries welcomed the establishment of the Commission for Cooperation with NATO BiH and emphasized that the North Atlantic Alliance will continue to provide support to BiH during the implementation of reform program.
They emphasized the importance of fulfilling the conditions and tasks on the Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.
