SARAJEVO, April 15 (FENA) - The Council of Ministers of BiH has determined the Proposal of the Grant Agreement for Technical Assistance between Bosnia and Herzegovina, the FBiH Motorways Mostar and the European Investment Bank (EIB) in connection with consulting services for the supervision of works on the construction of the Corridor Vc in BiH ( Počitelj - Zvirovići subsection).
This is a VBIF grant (Investment Fund for the Western Balkans) - a contribution of the European Union worth two million euros, which will be implemented through the EIB, and is intended to finance the construction project for the Počitelj - Zvirovići subsection, with a total length of 11.1 km on theCorridor Vc .
The construction project is a guideline for a new application for technical assistance for the supervision of works in the amount of five million euros.
The construction of this sub-section, along with increasing road safety and capacity, will shorten the road distance by about five kilometers along the North-South Corridor, between Počitelj and the southern border with Croatia, and together with travel time savings of about 40 percent, reduction of traffic accidents and air pollution will also be some of the benefits.
The total value of the project is 124,159,006 euros, of which the EIB loan is 100 million euros, the VBIF grant is five million euros, own contribution is 17,159 million euros and the VBIF grant is two million euros - the contribution of the European Union, stated the Council of Ministers of BiH.
