SARAJEVO, April 20 (FENA) - Painting of new murals depicting a convicted war criminal Ratko Mladić for the genocide against residents of the UN Safe Area of Srebrenica, committed by the Bosnian Serb army and police forces, fits perfectly into the environment and policy of pressure on Bosniaks in Foča and the entire entity of Republika Srpska,  the RS Vice President Ramiz Salkić told FENA.

He emphasized that "the impunity of those who committed grave war crimes, the impunity of those who glorify war criminals and deny crimes, has produced a new young generation of fans of the character and crimes of war criminals."

"This situation creates serious pressure in every sense on Bosniaks in this part of our homeland and is a direct consequence of the actions of the entity government. If there was a criminal sanctioning and if there were bodies that are ready to apply it, with sincere prevention in the educational process and the media, such unpleasant scenes would not be seen in Foča or anywhere in the entity," Salkić pointed out.

He called on the authorities to "remove this heinous act of inciting national hatred and glorifying a convicted war criminal and thus show that these are not the values with which the municipal authorities in Foča identify."
