SARAJEVO, April 22 (FENA) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Zoran Tegeltija talked today in Sarajevo with the Chief of Staff of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) from Geneva Eugenio Ambrosi about current topics related to the migrant crisis.
The IOM Chief of Staff briefed the Chairman of the Council of Ministers on the activities carried out by this international organization, with the aim of helping to address the issue of the accommodation of migrants.
Chairman Tegeltija pointed out that BiH unjustifiably bears too heavy of a burden of the migrant crisis in relation to the size and number of inhabitants, and pointed out the need for greater coordination and joint cooperation of all relevant institutions and security agencies in resolving the issue of illegal migration.
Tegeltija emphasized that the Council of Ministers of BiH is determined, in accordance with its competencies, as well as in agreement with the Delegation of the European Union, to continue to provide maximum support in finding a solution to the problem of illegal migration, which given the increased number of incidents and criminal acts, also poses a security threat," stated the Council of Ministers of BiH.
