SARAJEVO, April 26 (FENA) - Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sifet Podžić and his associates received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bosnia and Herzegovina Sadik Babur Girgin in an inaugural visit, and expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the Republic of Turkey to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Minister Podžić emphasized the assistance that the Republic of Turkey provides to our country regarding the membership in the European Union and NATO. In addition, he expressed gratitude for the help when it comes to defense reform, training of military personnel and modernization of the Armed Forces of BiH.
Also, Minister Podžić informed the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey about the main activities of the MoD and AF BiH.
Ambassador Girgin thanked for the warm welcome and said that he hopes for a successful mission in our country. In addition, he said that the Republic of Turkey will continue to provide great support to BiH’s path to the European Union and NATO.
Also, Ambassador Girgin expressed satisfaction with the increase in the number of cadets of the AF BiH who are studying in Turkey, and wished a lot of success in the upcoming military exercises that await the AF BiH, the Press Service of the BiH Ministry of Defense announced.
