SARAJEVO, April 27 (FENA) - The focus of the Economic Forum, organized today in Sarajevo by the School of Economics and Business, University of Sarajevo and the Institute of Economics Sarajevo, is the 'green economy' through the goals of sustainable development in Europe and what is the 'new normal' in society after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The two keynote speakers are World Academy of Sciences and Arts President Garry Jacobs and Nizami Ganjavi International Center Vice President and former World Bank Vice President Ismail Serageldin.
Dean of the Schools of the School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo, Jasmina Selimović, says that the Forum is held in a combined model where speakers, moderators and some panelists are present, while panelists from abroad and participants access the Forum via a Zoom link.
The forum was organized through two panels, on the 'new normal' and on the goals of sustainable development.
Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović supported the holding of the Forum, emphasizing that the intellectual and scientific community should give views and answers to all questions that BiH is dealing with.
"The health and lives of people are the most important and that is why measures are being taken until the end of the pandemic. We should look for ways to minimize the economic damage in BiH in such conditions," said Džaferović.
