MOSTAR, May 6 (FENA) - French Ambassador to BiH Christine Toudic presented awards to the winners of a competition held as part of the "Francophonie Days 2021" in Mostar today.
Mostar is the first city in Bosnia and Herzegovina to open a bilingual francophone department at the Mostar Grammar School. The Embassy of France and the French Institute in Bosnia and Herzegovina are working hard to promote French language learning in primary and secondary schools throughout BiH.
“This is one of the few cities where there is a bilingual department, and the protection of the French language is one of the priorities of my activities, which is why I often come to Mostar,” said the French Ambassador.
The French Embassy in BiH points out that knowledge of French, the language of culture, but also one of the most common business languages, as well as languages used on the Internet, is certainly a great advantage for the future of young people in BiH.
The French Institute in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Mostar Department) has announced a competition to create the best postcard in French language on the theme La Tour Eiffel, as part of the 'Francophonie Days' event.
40 students participated in the competition, and about twenty of them were awarded.
A special award was given to the postcard that had the most likes on Facebook.
