ŠIROKI BRIJEG, May 7 (FENA) - President of the Croat National Assembly (HNS) and HDZ BiH Dragan Čović announced more intensive talks by the end of the month with representatives of international institutions on different views of individual administrations on what should be done in BiH regarding reform processes.
“Unfortunately, we do not have a single position when it comes to the EU, hence the different interpretations. But as for the message from Washington and this time Germany, we absolutely understand that, and we want to work transparently on the implementation of all values woven into the judgments of the European Court, which say how to protect individual rights and the highest level of freedoms,” Čović commented on the concerns of the German Government and the federal authorities about the reform processes that they believe should be the foundation of a stable and functional Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On the other hand, Čović added, what is not being negotiated is the issue of legitimacy and constitutivity of the people, i.e. their representation.
“We have clearly said that we will decide on BiH, and not someone else. I hope that we will talk to the representatives of the European Union and the American administration, as well as experts in law and the constitution, in order to finally agree on solutions for the Election Law in BiH,” Čović told reporters in Široki Brijeg.
