STOLAC, May 17 (FENA) - The Public Institution Radimlja expects a much better tourist season this year compared to last year, stating that on weekends and holidays there is a noticeable increase in the number of domestic and tourists from the region.
“We are still feeling the consequences of the epidemic, but there is a noticeable difference compared to 2020 because we have a larger number of visitors, especially on weekends and holidays,” said Director of the Public Institution Radimlja Maja Lopin in an interview with FENA.
According to her, most domestic guests come from different parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but more and more tourists come from the region, from Montenegro and Serbia.
She stated that the Covid-19 epidemic affected the entire tourism sector, but they adapted to the situation and used this period to renovate the Public Institution Radimlja and landscaped the necropolis of stećak tombstones in Radimlja.
“Last year's season was very bad, we had a drop in tourist visits by 85 percent. Due to such a small number of visitors, we are more dedicated to writing and implementing certain projects, so we managed to renovate the exterior and interior of the infrastructure facility,” said Lopin.
