MOSTAR, May 20 (FENA) - FBiH Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Džindić said in Mostar today that he does not see a single reason why representatives of Krivaja Zavidovići workers were gathering in front of the FBiH Government building today, saying that they "cannot expect that a minister or prime minister takes a hoe and forces someone to do their job”.
He said that yesterday they held a meeting with the representatives of the workers of the industrial enterprise Krivaja that are in bankruptcy and they had two requests. One was to help workers who have met the conditions for retirement, but cannot retire due to outstanding obligations.
“We informed the workers that the public announcement is nearing the end and that it will probably be published on Monday and that they should apply. At the same time, we informed our colleagues that in the mandate of this Government, close to 9 million KM have been allocated so far for linking of past service of the employees of Krivaja in bankruptcy and Krivaja Mobel also in bankruptcy. These are companies that gravitated in the same area,” said Džindić.
All those who submit proper documentation during the public announcement will be safely taken care of and their work experience will be linked, the minister said.
The second request of the workers was for the FBiH Government to be involved in the court proceedings in the Cantonal Court of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
“We told them that we cannot interfere in court proceedings, nor is that our competence, but today, with one conclusion of the Government, we instructed the FBiH Privatization Audit Agency to audit the privatization of the industrial enterprise Krivaja and to submit a report to the FBIH Government in the next 60 days,” Džindić pointed out.
He added that after the report, the Government will take further steps in line with the law and its competencies.
