SARAJEVO, May 21 (FENA) - Prim. dr. Davor Pehar submitted to the Governing Board of the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH his irrevocable resignation from the position of the director of this institution yesterday, explaining that due to insufficient quantities of vaccines against COVID-19 available to citizens of the Federation of BiH, as well as disagreements with the policies for the direct purchase of vaccines, which he was authorized by the Government of the Federation of BiH, for moral reasons he can no longer perform this duty.
"Irrevocable resignation of Dr. Davor Pehar was forwarded to the members of the Management Board of the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of BiH, as well as to the Minister of Health Vjekoslav Mandić for further action, it was announced from the Office of the Director.
