Improving the collection of data on cases of discrimination based on gender

SARAJEVO, May 24 (FENA) - The Foundation of Local Democracy organized a workshop on "Improving the collection and recording of data on cases of discrimination based on gender."
 
The workshop was intended for representatives of six civil society organizations, human rights defenders in BiH, which in the past collected data on registered cases of discrimination based on gender in their area of activity, the Foundation of Local Democracy said.
 
The workshop aimed to help civil society organizations, human rights defenders, to exchange experiences in collecting data in cases of discrimination and to analyze a standardized form for collecting this data. Also, the problems they face on the ground were discussed.

The interactive workshop was realized within the project "Women Human Rights Defenders improving human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina" which is financially supported by the Kingdom of the Netherlands through the Matra program.
 
Representatives of civil society organizations contributed to quality of the workshop by participating in the workshop through examples of practical cases.
 
In her address, Executive Director of the Foundation of Local Democracy, Jasmina Mujezinović, emphasized the importance of the existence of a single form for recording data on cases of discrimination based on gender in BiH, created within the project.
