SARAJEVO, May 26 (FENA) – Members of the Interdepartmental Working Group for Amendments to the Election Legislation of BiH adopted at today's session the Rules of Procedure which should define the future work of the body.
Previously, an amendment to Article 21 of the Rules of Procedure was adopted, which regulates the manner of decision-making in the Interdepartmental Working Group, which should offer a proposal for amendments to the electoral legislation.
During the discussion, member of this group Dženan Đonlagić (DF) emphasized that its primary goal is to determine the text of amendments to the election legislation in a way that eliminates all forms of discrimination and to implement the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights and domestic courts.
Representatives of the OSCE and the NGO "Under the Magnifying Glass" addressed the members of the Interdepartmental Working Group for Amendments to the Election Legislation of BiH, and conveyed the recommendations of those organizations.
The methodology of future work was also discussed at the session, and the next one is scheduled for Wednesday, June 2.
