SARAJEVO, May 27 (FENA) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija (SNSD) expressed hope today that the highest executive body in the country will amend the Decision on additional conditions for the entry of foreigners into BiH on Monday, May 31.
The incumbent decision was adopted in September last year, and in the meantime the vaccination process has started and the decision should be changed in the sense of allowing vaccinated citizens against coronavirus or those who have contracted Covid-19 in the last six months.
The decision was presented at yesterday's session of the Council of Ministers, but it did not receive support due to, as Tegeltija says, technical issues in it, as well as due to the fact that the adoption of such a decision was conditioned by the adoption of another one which refers to visas for citizens of Saudi Arabia in BiH.
Answering the question of an MP from the Croat caucus in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Lidija Bradara (HDZ) at today's session of the House, he explained that BiH has certain technical problems given the large number of border crossings that are not technically equipped.
When it comes to epidemiological measures for the entry of foreigners into BiH, Tegeltija says that they were adopted following the decisions of neighboring countries and the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and only citizens of Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro can enter BiH freely.
Other citizens still need a negative PCR test, and although the Council of Ministers prepared a decision in agreement with the ministries and offered several conditions for entry, such as a rapid antigen test, a vaccination certificate or those who have contracted Covid-19 in the last six months to enter into force on June 1, there was no consensus on it.
