Representatives of French Embassy visit the Agency for Forensic Investigations

SARAJEVO, June 4 (FENA) - Representatives of the Embassy of the Republic o France in Bosnia and Herzegovina visited the Agency for Forensic Investigations and Expertise in connection with the implementation of the EVOFINDER project, the agency said.

Seurre Pascal, SALW Military Adviser, Lakdar Attar, State Ballistic Coordinator, Charles-Edouard Coquillard, Chief Technician, Vanessa Roumiguie, Police Attaché Assistant and Yann Barroul, Intern in the Office of Homeland Security, met with the Agency Director Radiša Samardžija.

The interlocutors summarized the results and positive impressions regarding the successful cooperation with the Embassy of France, as well as with the forensic institutions of the Republic of France through IPA and TAIEX projects, and expressed mutual desire to continue and deepen cooperation.

The implementation of the EVOFINDER project is based on the Agreement on the donation of the EVOFINDER system, signed between the Republic of France and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

EVOFINDER is a ballistic identification system that enables the analysis of ammunition and weapons, their verification in a common database and possible comparison of cases throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, all with the aim of strengthening the fight against smuggling of firearms, ammunition and explosives.
