ZENICA, June 4 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly and President of the Party of Democratic Action Bakir Izetbegović and Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić visited the SDA Cantonal Board of the Zenica-Doboj Canton and the Zenica Main Board, after which they visited the Zenica Cantonal Hospital (KBZ).
On that occasion, the director of the KBZ, Rasim Skomorac, made a presentation of the project "Improvement of energy efficiency of the KBZ", for which a tender procedure has already been announced.
Wherever we look, Izetbegović points out, economic parameters are on the rise and he believes that they will catch up quickly and reach pre-pandemic levels. He announces that the number of employees could be brought to the pre-pandemic level in the fall, and when it comes to GDP, tax collection, industrial production, import-export, in the spring of 2022.
The Prime Minister of FBiH, Fadil Novalić, announced that in about 10 days, the FBiH government will allocate 3,610,000 KM to KBZ and another 700,000 KM to Tešanj General Hospital.
"That is our share when it comes to direct transfers. However, indirectly, when you look at it, last year we transferred some 34 million KM to ZDC, which had only three purposes: overcoming the problems caused by the pandemic in economic, health and social terms.
The Director of the KBZ, Rasim Skomorac, pointed out that he presented to the guests the plan for the reconstruction of the KBZ and the activities during the Covid pandemic, i.e. the overall engagement of the Zenica hospital.
"We asked the Government to increase the funds that are directed to other hospitals, not only to clinical centers but also to this hospital. We asked for understanding for, certain, future investments that are needed for this institution and the citizens of this canton," said Skomorac.
