SARAJEVO, June 15 (FENA) - Regarding today's statement of an MP of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, the PR Office of the Government of the Federation of BiH said that Nikšić's claims are untrue, i.e. that it is not true that the FBiH Government paid any money to Serbia for vaccination of BiH citizens.
SDP MP in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly and President of this party Nermin Nikšić asked today at the BiH PA session to examine the allegations that vaccination of BiH citizens in Serbia is compensation for paid vaccines from Russia that Serbia could not deliver to BiH.
According to his information, which he claims are from diplomatic circles, the Federation of BiH paid Serbia for the delivery of Russian vaccines, but Russia then warned Serbia that only the Russian Federation could contract the sale and delivery of vaccines to third countries.
“That was the reason why the vaccines were not delivered and since the money could not be returned to the budget, BiH citizens were provided with allegedly free vaccinations in Serbia,” stated Nikšić.
The FBiH Government says that it is true that the Government of the Federation of BiH is in negotiations with all manufacturers and that it has concluded a contract for the supply of 500,000 Sinopharm vaccines, it is said in the statement.
“We demand from MP Nermin Nikšić to publish the evidence he mentioned at the session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, which have already caused great public harassment. Otherwise, we ask MP Nikšić to apologize to the Government of the Federation of BiH and the citizens he deceived,” it is said in the statement of the Government of FBiH.
The FBiH Government reminds that everywhere in the world, the state is in charge of procuring vaccines and that vaccines have become a means of geopolitics, which has unfortunately been shown in our region as well.
“And we repeat that the Government of the Federation of BiH is negotiating with all producers, from the USA, through China, to Russia,” it is also stressed in the statement.
