RAVNO, June 17 (FENA) - President of the HDZ BiH and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Dragan Čović and State Secretary of the Central State Office for Croats Abroad Zvonko Milas visited the Municipality of Ravno.
The topic of conversation was the needs of that local community and ways in which other levels of government can be involved in the implementation of certain projects, the HDZ BiH announced.
Mayor of Ravno, Andrija Šimunović, said that it is currently important to work on quality infrastructure in the Municipality of Ravno, and emphasized the connection of the Municipality of Ravno to the traffic route Neum - Stolac.
The process of inscribing the Vjetrenica cave on the UNESCO World Heritage List was also discussed, as well as cooperation with neighboring municipalities and the development of tourism.
The unavoidable topic of the meeting was cross-border cooperation and development of Ivanica, having in mind the great tourist potential of Ravno Municipality and the connection with Dubrovnik, as a world-famous destination, which is considered a great opportunity for development of Ravno Municipality.
They also visited the Vjetrenica cave, which is, as emphasized, the backbone of tourism in the Municipality of Ravno, along with other, still underused potentials that could help and enrich the tourist offer and future development of tourism and the Municipality of Ravno.
The visit to the Vjetenica cave was also attended by the presidents of cantonal governments, mayors and municipality mayors elected on behalf of the HDZ BiH, as well as the FBiH Minister of Finance Jelka Milićević, the FBiH Minister of Environment and Tourism Edita Đapo and Croatian Ambassador to BiH Ivan Sabolić.
