SARAJEVO/ANTALYA, June 20 (FENA) - BiH Presidency members Željko Komšić and Šefik Džaferović met on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum with EU Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Miroslav Lajčak.
The officials discussed political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and dynamics of the implementation of the reforms envisaged in the 14 recommendations from the Opinion of the European Commission, the Presidency of BiH announced.
The importance of implementing the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in a number of cases ordering the elimination of discrimination on ethnic grounds was emphasized.
BiH Presidency members Komšić and Džaferović stressed that the European Union, despite pressure, should remain consistent in its principles towards Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The topic of conversation was the establishment of accountability mechanisms that would prevent blockades and obstructions in the work of the government.
The crucial importance of maintaining a credible European perspective for preserving peace and stability in the Western Balkans was emphasized.
The implementation of the Common Market Agreement signed in Sofia, within the framework of the Berlin Process, was discussed, which would ensure the free movement of people and goods in the region.
