Zvizdić: The announced talks on future of BiH are expression of pure populism

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, June 22 (FENA) - The future of Bosnia and Herzegovina can be discussed only on the basis of full respect for its sovereignty, territorial integrity and international legal subjectivity, said today Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Denis Zvizdić (SDA).

He believes that BiH can be discussed in a way that seeks the most efficient model for rapid progress on the path of European Union and NATO integration and a favorable business environment, stable economic development, support for domestic and foreign investment and job creation.

It is also necessary to establish the rule of law, create a political, economic and social environment that will be acceptable and stimulating for young people to stay in BiH and create a society of knowledge, equality and solidarity, as well as create an environment of trust and reconciliation without hate speech, nationalist rhetoric and with full respect for historical facts and judgments of international and domestic courts.

“The announced talks on any other visions of the future of BiH are an expression of pure populism, political utopia and escape from real life problems and needs, and because of that, and time will show, they are doomed in advance,” Zvizdić wrote.

In that way, Zvizdić reacted to the last announcement of the President of the Republika Srpska, Željka Cvijanović (SNSD), who stated that a negotiating team had been formed for talks on the "future of BiH", and stated that she had received confirmation from HDZ BiH to participate in the talks.
