SARAJEVO, June 23 (FENA) - The 12th edition of the Days of BHAAAS in BiH, a unique scientific conference, will be held in Mostar from June 24th to 27th organized by the Bosnian-American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS). It will be an opportunity to connect experts from the USA and the world with experts in BiH and the region, it was pointed out today at a press conference in Sarajevo.
BHAAAS Vice President Ismar Volić said that this year's conference will be one of the largest so far and will take place live and virtually. During the four days of the program, almost 300 lectures, 26 professional symposia in medical, technical, natural and human sciences, numerous panels, round tables and workshops are planned.
90 original papers were submitted to technical symposia that will be published by world renowned publishing houses, as well as papers from the symposium of medical sciences, including neurosurgery, oncology, gynecology, orthopedics, intensive care, etc.
When it comes to new multidisciplinary symposia, one dedicated to Covid-19 stands out, where 17 papers will be presented, 16 of which were created in BiH. There are also symposia dedicated to robotics in medicine and sustainable urban development, i.e. smart cities. The BHAAAS Monograph, which the members of this academy have been working on for years, will be presented at the conference.
The Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH, within its competencies for emigration, provides support to BHAAAS in this form of knowledge transfer from emigration to BiH.
BHAAAS member Ljiljana Djukanović said that, at the 12th edition of the Days of BHAAAS, special attention will be paid to students and various activities will be organized at the Cultural Center in Mostar for them. The goal is to contribute to the professional development of young people.
