VOGOŠĆA, June 24 (FENA) - The state exists because of the people, if people are happy in a local community, if there are not too many problems in it, if people like to come because it is a place where they can live comfortably, then it is something to be commended, said member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović at a solemn ceremony on the occasion of the Day of the Municipality of Vogošća.
He said that this local community is a place of comfortable living, and wished for even better development, primarily economic.
“I will do everything I can on this side to help you with that. I want you to further develop your infrastructure and make progress on every level. The task of every level of government is to take care of every citizen. I tell every mayor, wherever I go, that he/she must know the situation in every house, in every apartment, in every building and in every street, in order to be able to solve problems in a timely manner, and then they are the real leaders of the local community,” Džaferović pointed out.
He said that he wants the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina to be a place where people can live comfortably, because there are conditions for that.
“Bosnia and Herzegovina is on the path of reintegration and integration into the European Union and NATO. Despite all the difficulties, we made a significant step forward when it comes to our membership in the NATO alliance, and we did not allow it to deviate from that path, and there were strong blows. We are on our European path and we will continue to move forward. We need to strengthen the economy, create as many jobs as possible so that the whole of BiH is a place of where people can live comfortably,” concluded Džaferović.
The solemn session was also attended by the Minister of Defense, Sifet Podžić.
