BRUSSELS, June 29 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović talked today in Brussels with the President of the European People's Party (EPP) Donald Tusk about cooperation between the SDA and the EPP and that this cooperation enables key contribution to accelerating the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Izetbegović thanked Tusk for the support of MEPs in adopting the European Parliament's Report on Bosnia and Herzegovina, which provides full support for Bosnia and Herzegovina's European integration and recognizes key commitments and guidelines for further progress in the integration process.
It was pointed out that granting candidate status to Bosnia and Herzegovina by the end of this year would be a great incentive for citizens, but also for institutions and decision-makers in the further implementation of important reforms.
They also discussed the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special focus on the need to implement the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights and the coronavirus pandemic and its consequences for health and the economy and illegal migration, the SDA said.
