FENA Kanita Aliagić

SARAJEVO, July 4 (FENA) - Executive Director for Western Europe, Western Balkans, Turkey and Great Britain at the European External Action Service (EEAS) Angelina Eichhorst, assessed today's talks with political representatives in BiH as very good and constructive.

The talks are being held with the US envoy to the Western Balkans, Matthew Palmer, as she said, to encourage BiH political actors to finally start working on important topics, including the implementation of relevant European Court of Human Rights judgments in the area of rule of law.

"So far, we have had an extremely good dialogue in which we touched on the implementation and recommendations of the OSCE, regarding the election process. We have heard a lot of encouraging messages, and the main goal of those messages is to eliminate discrimination established by legal provisions in BiH: it is about eliminating discrimination, corruption in the election process, prevention of election theft, and other violations of the BiH Election Law," said Eichhorst.

Expressing gratitude to the participants in the constructive dialogue, she announced the continuation of the dialogue with the leaders of political parties in BiH on Monday.

She reiterated that the United States and the European Union have a common position on the ongoing issues in BiH.
