SREBRENICA, June 6 (FENA) - The final meeting of the Organizing Committee for marking the 26th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in Srebrenica was held today at the Memorial Center in Potočari, attended by the BiH Presidency members Šefik Džaferović and Željko Komšić, the Mufti of Tuzla Vahid effendi Fazlović, the RS Vice President Ramiz Salkić and the FBiH Minister for Refugees and Displaced Persons Edin Ramić.

The president of the Organizing Committee for the commemoration of the 26th anniversary of the genocide, Hamdija Fejzić, said after the meeting that everything was ready for the commemoration on July 11.

"We managed to fulfill all the planned activities in a short time. This year, too, we are faced with epidemiological measures, and I hope that we will comply with all of them. I urge everyone present to adhere to the measures. Members of the Presidency,  Komšić and Džaferović, provided us with support today, without which we would not have been able to fully realize all the activities on the occasion of marking July 11," Fejzić pointed out.

The BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić said that it was very important to send an important message from BiH to the world on the day of marking the 26th anniversary of the genocide.

"It is important for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina to send an important message, that people are dignified in their pain, without the desire for any revenge. People are actually committed to the future while remembering the evil they and their loved ones went through. Everyone can count on our support as members of the Presidency and our support as human beings," said Komšić.

The BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović pointed out that Komšić and he came to see the progress of the preparations for marking the 26th anniversary of the genocide.

"The President of the Organizing Committee and the representatives of the subcommittee assured us that the preparations are going in the best way and that there are no problems. I am grateful to the Organizing Committee for everything that has been done so far to ensure that this important event takes place in the best possible manner, in a dignified and humble way, it is the least we can do when it comes to victims of genocide," said Džaferović.

The Mufti of Tuzla Vahid effendi Fazlović noted that a funeral prayer for 19 victims of the genocide in Srebrenica will take place on July 11.
