European Movement awards medals to deserving citizens of BiH

FENA Vanja Tolj

SARAJEVO, July 6 (FENA) - The European Movement in Bosnia and Herzegovina awarded the "Medals of the Peoples and Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina" today, as part of the "Days and Months of Europe in BiH 2021" project.

The medals were presented to the manager of the women's basketball national team of BiH, Razija Mujanović, and one of the best women basketball players Nikolina Babić, FBiH Minister of Environment and Tourism Edita Đapo, President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH Ahmet Egrlić, and the founder of SBF and former director of BBI Bank Amer Bukvić.

As the President of the European Movement in BiH, Predrag Praštalo, said, BiH does not have a functional law on medals and orders, so the European Movement in BiH, as a socially responsible organization, has taken on that role since 2010, when the visa regime with the EU was abolished.

Praštalo pointed out the successes of today's laureates, emphasizing that the BiH women's basketball team achieved great success by winning the 5th place at the European Championship, and that success is even greater when we consider that the team did not have the help of the state or relevant institutions.

The European Movement in BiH has been awarding the Medals of the Peoples and Citizens since December 14, 2010. The bearers of the medal so far have been presidents, ambassadors, sports and cultural workers, successful business people, and journalists.
