BiHPA Committee supports the Bill on the Budget of BiH Institutions for 2021

SARAJEVO, July 6 (FENA) - The Committee on Finances and Budget of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina today in the first phase supported the Bill on the Budget of the BiH Institutions and International Obligations for 2021, proposed by the BiH Presidency.

Regarding the proposed budget, the Committee also adopted a conclusion obliging the Council of Ministers of BiH, in accordance with the planned funds in the Budget of the BiH institutions and international obligations for 2021, when making decisions on the use of funds from the position of deregulation funds to combat coronary virus pandemic, set aside part of the funds for the construction of a new building of the Health Center in Bihać, which was damaged due to the earthquake in the Republic of Croatia at the end of 2020.

The Presidency of BiH previously adopted the Bill on the Budget of the BiH Institutions and International Obligations for 2021, and then instructed the Council of Ministers of BiH to initiate the procedure of increasing the minimum salaries for police officers employed in BiH police agencies and soldiers in the BiH Armed Forces.

According to the proposed budget, the total revenues, receipts and financing of the BiH institutions in 2021 amount to 1,027,100,000 KM, which is an increase of three percent compared to the budget from the previous year, while servicing the external debt of BiH amounts to 843,905,504 KM and is higher by five percent in relation to the Budget of the BiH institutions for 2020.

Revenues from direct taxes amount to 780,000,000 KM, and are at the level from 2020.
