MOSTAR, July 8 (FENA) - The FBiH Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Džindić explained on Thursday in Mostar the decision of the Government of the Federation of BiH to extend the Decision on implementing measures to reduce electricity costs to households and stimulate energy efficiency until December 31 this year.

Minister Džindić explained that this decision covers pensioners with the lowest pension and beneficiaries of permanent financial assistance who have the documentation from social work centers.

"From the moment this decision was made until today, 27 million KM have been set aside and paid. In the previous period, Elektroprivreda BiH set aside around 20 million for such a subsidy, while Elektroprivreda HZHB set aside 7 million KM," said Džindić at the press conference.

He also explained that the final agreement was given today to the relevant ministry to sign an official agreement with the Development Bank, and already after signing that agreement, the interest rates will be subsidized.

The decision on the quality of liquid fuels, which is a condition for accession to the World Trade Organization, was agreed by the two entity ministries and the line Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.

"The adoption of this decision, its harmonization, unfortunately, took too long, but we reached the final phase and in the next two or three days the consent will be given by the Federation of BiH, which will then be sent to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations for final harmonization," the Minister added.

Answering the question about the work of Mostar's Aluminij company, Minister Džindić said that he believed that "the process of fiscal consolidation will show that this company cannot continue with this way of doing business".
