BiH Constitutional Court rejects Dodik's appeal against the state flag

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, July 16 (FENA) - The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today rejected the appeal of the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik for the assessment of the constitutionality of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Flag of BiH, N1 reports.

In November 2019, Dodik filed an appeal with the Constitutional Court of BiH with a request for the review of the constitutionality of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Flag of BiH.

At that time, the formate of the flag was not disputed in his request, nor was it determined by the provisions of the Law on Flag, but he had a problem with the procedure during the adoption of amendments to the Law on Flag from 2004, when they were adopted without confirmation by the BiH Presidency.

With today's decision, the Constitutional Court determined that the Law on Amendments to the Law on Flag of BiH is in accordance with the Constitution of BiH, although Dodik has disputed it all along.
