BiH Prosecutor's Office to monitor statements on genocide and war crimes denial

SARAJEVO, July 23 (FENA) - Following the decision of the High Representative, a case will be opened in the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to monitor the public statements of individuals, groups or associations denying genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After the High Representative in BiH, Valentin Inzko, passed the amendments to the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which prohibit and sanction the denial of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes, the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has opened a case file to monitor and record all publications of individuals, groups or associations, which express views on the denial of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes made after the entry into force of these amendments to the Criminal Code, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH said.

The collection of materials will be carried out in cooperation with partner police and security agencies, and for the purpose of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH actions and partner institutions within the framework of legal powers.
