'EU4BusinessRecovery' announces public call for projects in field of tourism

FENA Senka Trgovčević

SARAJEVO, July 23 (FENA) - Within the project of the European Union and the Government of Germany "EU4BusinessRecovery" to help entrepreneurs in the fight against the consequences caused by coronavirus, a public call for projects in the field of tourism was announced.

On that occasion, the project manager Nils Wetzel stated today in Sarajevo that partnerships involving up to three partners can apply for the call until August 20, which will further distribute funds to end users to private companies and destinations.

A two million KM grant and technical support fund within the project is available for tourism recovery measures, which focus on activities such as developing a destination management strategy, accessing new markets for tourism entrepreneurs, brand development and developing sustainable tourism action plans.

On this occasion, Head of the Section for Justice, Home Affairs and Public Administration Reform of the EU Delegation to BiH Nicolas Bizel commented that the pandemic caused by coronavirus has seriously endangered the tourism sector in BiH, where, he says, a state-level tourism strategy needs to be developed, and the EU will help the tourism sector recover.
